Well, it only took 2 weeks of studying… but I’m officially certified in Google Analytics thanks to passing Google’s 1.5-hour online exam with an 88% (8 points over). I won’t lie, it was a beast: regex, query parameters, URIs and lots more of that fun stuff.
And they give you a nifty little certificate to prove that you passed. Not bad.
I’m hoping this elevates my standing for upcoming digital copywriting opps that incorporate a strategy/conceptual focus.
I can say after passing the GAIQ that both web strategy and content can be improved with such a feature-rich analytics program as Google’s; you can slice web response about a thousand different ways, it seems, to get some great feedback.
